Preparation

5 g Herbal tea (4 heaped tablespoons, break up the leaves somewhat) to 1 liter filtered, boiling water. Allow to brew 5 – 10 min.

Unsere Apfelminze stammt aus dem (Kräuter-)Teegarten der Familie Bergsmann. Sie gehört zu den Gründungsmitgliedern einer lokalen Genossenschaft und betreibt schon seit über 35 Jahren den Kräuteranbau. Angefangen haben die Bergsmann damals mit Pfefferminze und Zitronenmelisse. Eine ganz besondere Zutat im Anbau ist der eigene Kompost, welcher als Dünger für die Pflanzen verwendet wird. Eine weitere Besonderheit der Apfelminze ist die spezielle Verarbeitung: die Blätter durchlaufen einen fünfstufigen Trocknungsprozess im Herdentrockner bei 38-40°C.
