The perfect balance of honey-sweet fragrance and malty-spicy cup - an excellent Assam tea from the south bank of the Brahmaputra River...
The Indian tea-growing region of Assam is the largest contiguous tea-growing region in the world. It produces strong, malty black teas that are appreciated all over the world. Like hardly any other tea garden in the region, Mokalbari stands for perfectly balanced malty and at the same time honey-sweet black teas.
The Mokalbari Tea Garden
Which tea cultivars were used for the tea?
What makes this tea so special?
The Assam Mokalbari Golden Malty consists of two single pluckings (Invoice No. 560 & 648), which are characterised by an extraordinarily high proportion of golden leaf buds. Both are characterised by the malty and honey-like aromas typical of Mokalbari. The cup is full-bodied, but can also be enjoyed wonderfully without the addition of milk and sugar. If you still like to enjoy the tea this way, you can slightly increase the amount of milk added to make the special flavour even stronger.Reviews
